Where in Rhyl????

it is a sad picture the west end of rhyl has only gone down hill in the last 25 years wonder what the next 25 will bring

its mr jones and he ran uncle erics play park between the old baths and the lifeboat house .We had a freind who had a chalet on the prom where the coast guard storeage shed is now they were happy days most days playing under the old wooden lifeboat slip and the sun was always out

I know where it is, but don't know what it is/was for.

Tony let slip the answer to this today. I would never have got it.

My dad used to buy sausages from Worthings butchers on Vale Road.
He was reliably informed that James Mason also bought sausages from there whilst stayingin Rhyl and working on this film.

For years we always referred to the sausages as 'James Masons'.

What was the film though??

PS I don't know the answer to this one. Maybe are resident historians could shed some light.

Although those houses in the background seem to have disappeared.

I spent a couple of happy summers working on the mini-motorbikes that used to operate in the 'skateboard' tubes adjacent to the skating rink(and next to Les Harkers Cosy Corner which I guess was situated on the nice little grassy patch in your photo Tony)

Currently St Davids nursing home.

Looking closely I think the house on the right is on the corner of Paradise Street.

The newer property could be the key to this.

Find that and we may have cracked it! (assuming it is still standing )

I remember it well, and just down the road heading towards Rhyl was the Green Shield Stamps shop opposite the garage.
