I might not recognise much of Rhyl but I do know most of those computers. Thats a fantastic collection. I'd put in a bid myself but for it missing my favourites ... an Acorn Atom and a Compukit uk101 (in kit form with original circuit diagrams and a soldering iron).

You can just make out the sign on Ellises on the white building to the left.

What a fine looking building!

Got me wondering why someone took that picture in the first place!

The house on the left seems similar to ones in Sandbank Road and Lake Avenue. ??

is it where the naval club stands

In the mid 80's I spent 2 happy summers working for Terry Henley at Skateworld.
I've got a couple of photos that I'll get round to scanning someday.

I did a stint on the trampolines at Les Harkers Cosy Corner too.
Over the road, I worked through the ranks to the highest point of my career to date - Bingo Caller!
I spent several weeks clearing out the Monte Carlo when Les bought the property. Also, we cleared the pub that was above it(no idea of the name!)
Les was, and still is a true gent.

Prior to that, I'd spent 2 years in The Carousel. I'll not comment on the proprieters though!

Mike, if you enter that postcode into Google maps, you are at the juction of Elwy St and Wellington road. If you then drag the liitle man down for street view, when the picture opens up ,if you look at the top right there's a small box saying "PHOTOS". Click on that.

The bar was just as it closed with empty glasses on the tables and ashtrays still full.

Access was to the side via a steep staircase if I remember.

The arcade below was full of first generation arcade cabinets. Classics by todays standards. Space Invaders, Scramble, Galaxians etc.
We broke the lot up with sledge hammers and filled a few skips with the debris.
The only things I saved were the bandit relay boards for Les and I managed to keep a pair of AR speakers from the Video Jukebox for myself.

Map coordinates are not an issue for him. He may also be able to advise how many running paces are required between two locations, compass bearings and quickest route option.
