Usually a good match with some of the top match anglers in the country taking part.

Its well worth going to see how they are fishing, even if you dont intend to fish yourself. cyclops

I`m going to have to miss this one this year, I`ve done quite well there in the past, 3rd ,5th and 10th over a few years. It looks like they`re fishing over low water this time though, that should make it hard work!

Its unlikely as most of the anglers who fish this match can cast over the rocks on the outside onto the sand beyond. This is where the decent fish live! Big Pouting and Pollack and some belting Whiting and Codling in the winter.

They stand on top of the wall to reel in, and wind like fury so that their rig is bouncing along the surface of the water by the time it gets to the bigger rocks close in. A bit of careful manouvering sees it through the rocks and they can handline their fish up the wall.

Ive even seen people putting ladders down the outside over low and climbing down onto the rocks to get decent fish that couldnt be handlined up for fear of the hook straigtening.
