I called at jokers in Colwyn Bay on the way for me bait (it was cracking Black mate).
Anyway, I arrived at the Breakie about 4:30pm and set up about 400 - 500 yrds before the bend (glads normal spot). The wind wasnt too bad but in my face and the forecast was for it to get worse as the evening whent on, so I deliberated for about 45 minutes and decided to strip the gear down and head for the fish dock instead as the wind would be behind me.
1st cast resulted in a doggie, so did the 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc etc. infact they kept me that busy I didnt have much time to play with the float rod.
An elderly bloke came and had a natter with me for an hour or so (nice bloke with some great stories about all the crashes in the harbour by the ferries).
Final tally for the evening was 4 tiny pollack, 1 chubby codling, a whiting and over 20 doggies !
By 10pm I had had enough of the attack of the doggies so headed home, all in all a pleasant but busy evening, with the company of an old bloke (as you all know I usually fish with an elderly chap) !
Tight lines, pics will be put up on tuesday when i get to work !
