Just made my 4th cast into the estuary at Ravenglass south lakes where the rivers Esk, Mite and the Irt all pour into the sea.

1st two casts were with a plain lead but the pull is to strong so I've changed to a gripper.

Lots of fresh water tonight after the wkends rain so not looking to hopeful although locals say it can still fish.
Update in a bit

Thought someone was creeping up behind me so put my light on and scared the hell out of an otter  lol!

Could be a good sign.

Have moved around the corner the water isn't as clear here and may be deeper looking how the bank drops away.

Its flooding now so hopefully it will pick up.

Bloody freezing too.

Bait has come back in untouched twice now maybe just to much fresh water about.

Seen another otter possibly the same one.

Think its a blank tonight so im going back to the caravan for a curry to help me thaw out brrr

Been good to try somewhere new anyway.

Just doing a recce on Drigg beach. Its enormous like red wharf bay and it looks like the tide goes out all the way to the Isle of Man  Exclamation

Making a note of all the gullies and other features then hopefully I'll get to fish it Friday afternoon time permitting  Cool

I was fishing from the point below Main Street.
By clicking on the map you should be able to zoom in/out and move around (if ive done it right)
