Fished Talacre this afternoon (1/12/13) with a real collection of salty sea dogs
Talkingbullhuss
Caravanner
Wildgoose
And the legend that is......

Not forgetting my youngest lad Hari

The lads were all into fish when Haz and myself got there at 1pm with double and treble headers of Dab and Whiting coming out
A good start i thought and so it carried on throughout the glorious sunny Talacre afternoon until a beautiful red sky heralded the approaching darkness which was soon upon us.
The baits we used were Lug, Mackerel, Squid and Mussel and they all caught the fish which seemed to be having some kind of feeding frenzy

After 3hrs of very busy fishing with almost a fish every cast we made the long yomp back to the car along with Paul and Alan leaving Tim and Graham to fish a little longer into the darkness.

Hari thought he was into a huge fish as he fought hard to bring in his line

Little did he know it was to be the stangest, possibly the rarest fish he'll ever catch on our shores

Thats right its the lesser knotted rope fish
Shame really as he worked his socks off trying to land it
When i went over to see how Paul and Alan were getting on they had some lovely sized Dabs to take home for tea

Hari and myself didn't manage anything quite so big but the look on his face each time he brought a fish in proved that size aint everything

An absolutely belting day to be out fishing with friends

Well done chaps looks like you had a great day plenty of variety there great to see young ones enjoying their fishing instead of gaming & computing i like the rope fish looks like it may have put up a good fight
