Text old Gregg for a session early on, no response...
Arrived for the Thursday morning high with James to fish Mariners, it was absolutely freezing
, was not expecting many to be there as everything was covered in frost...busiest I have seen it. Not the most productive session, I had a few whiting and the others fishing were on a similar run with a cod thrown in for good measure.
Just under the big yellow ball thingy there was a raft of guys fishing
Camera is pants but the ground was still frozen when I left, cathedral in the distance.
Few guys over from Salford, and a raft more down the slope.
Driving home I rang Old Gregg, he said he didn't get no message and wanted to fish...ffs lol, drove to Wigan to pick him up, went for more lug and drove back to the Wirral for the low water at Perch Rock and glad I did as it was a busy session. Whilst still light it was constant flatties, as light faded it became a mix of flatties and whiting into the darkness. Plenty caught so good times, only one good decent size whiting but that was a tiddler.
This morning I left with James to fish Otterspool high, I fancied the night time low again at Perch Rock but I didn't want to piss the Mrs off
Fished 1.5 up and 1 down, was a big tide (9.2m). Slow going and only a few whiting caught between myself and Old Greggs work mate..assuming he didn't
get this mornings message
Still a few fish and got out of the house for a while.
I had enough of fishing so thats me done for this year.....
