Dont usually play out on a school night but time, tide and thornback rays wait for no man and as the word spread about all the rays in the mersey me and Andy lee decided to have a go at em,we arrived 3hrs before high armed with frozen lug and squid (couldnt get any macky)

first cast i had a coddling just in size at 37cm (returned) i fished the mersey all winter and never managed one in size lol!

anyway i thought we were in for a busy night but that was it for the next hour then had another bite that nearly dragged my rod in and after pulling all the weed off my line on the way in i landed this little fella
the mersey 00311
only small but was well chuffed and we thought maybe its feeding time but another hour passed without a bite and it was time to call it a day and as i was bringing my rod in i noticed andys rod nodding,he was soon on it and soon landed this

again small but mission accomplished and we packed up after that and made our way home discussing a return visit for a bigger one Very Happy

Are those flats ( or should I say apartments?) Fishing from your lounge would have to be tried.
