Eye of the Storm Empty
PostSubject: Eye of the Storm   Eye of the Storm EmptySun Dec 13, 2015 6:35 pm

Sunday 13 December 2015

Jake needed a walk - where better than Splash Point between weather fronts  in our matching coats!

Travelling light - no tripod, we cast our baits and sat back to wait

Never taken him fishing before but Jake was in first - though I did have to put my pupil's bait on, cast it out and reel it in for him!

I replied with a 3 inch whiting - not worth a pic.

Jake looked very smug

Tina did her bit down at the boat house then walked up to Splash for a cast as the ebb was under way

Pulling off her usual first cast trick!

Couldn't have that could I? So I brought the next one in

And cleaned up with another

After her Dab went back Tina remarked on how blue the Dab's eyes are and asked if species always have the same eye colour, mmmm! Good question, I think so but then people don't - I must take more notice in future!

Looking at picture 1, you should have put a hat on the ground upside down, you'd have made a few quid. Very Happy

And if Jake would share the money with me I'd invest in a hat!

In that case I suggest his Christmas homework is a project on whether Dab eyes vary in colour!
