| The saga continues. Can a listed building be demolished? Probably can if it is deemed sufficiently unsafe.

| Amazed it hasn't fallen down yet A tribute to the Victorians that built it. It would be good if it was to be replaced with a simple walk way structure that went out twice as far Wouldn't cost the earth and you could fish from it |

| I think it can be demolished. It just needs an extra level of permission.
I'm liking the idea of a new pier. Of course that will never happen, but just imagine a pier dedicated to fishing, perhaps with a fishing tackle shop at the end ("Rays"). |

| the monstrosity was payed for with a grant from the eec if the pier was taken down because its unsafe then the ownership problems will be solved |

| Very sad news , I learned to fish with my grandad on there back in the late 50`s, you could fish both sides and the end then, great for dabs and whiting, some big ones as well. Our club took it`s name from the Victoria pier, and all the matches used to be fished on there when I started as a junior, if you weren`t in the first 60 to turn up you didn`t get a peg. |

| It would be a shame if were demolished, staggered off there a few times after some good gigs there...happy times. |
