| The new pier is open. Can't see it being much of a fishing venue but should at least be an accessible high water mark for those that need easier venues.

| Here is an example of a much more ambitious pier restoration going on on the Isle of Man. Aided by community donations. Looking forward to fishing from this one in a few years time.

| Haha, another folly. Not worth the time and money in my opinion. I wonder what the charges will be. |

I was thinking to myself that you could be the first to post a report from there. 30 minutes either side of high there could be enough water |

Too many holidaymakers around in daytime for me! Might tempt me at night. _________________ we call it fishing not catching!

| Brings to mind the saying " A long walk off a short pier" It's probably longer than Wigan pier though |

| Not sure about "no fishing" signs. Might find "We made this pier so short there is little point in fishing" signs. Struggling to think of a shorter official pier in the uk. Googling I found this although there is debate about it being a pier or just a beach pavillion ... https://www.burnham-on-sea.com/history/burnham-pier/ |

| The pier will probably be handy for a Marine Parade bus stop shelter. |

| Yes, looks like you will need a long cast at low tide, but as was said could be good at night. Fished off Ramsey pier when I was a boy, I remember an old woman used to fish most days, bundled up in coats and catching mostly mackerel. |

| There will probably be more parking meters than a Porcupine has quills, which will lead to Tourists staying on the A55 and trying further up. |
