My first session on holiday was at portlogan .its very rough ground close in and loads of kelp ,cast hundred yards out and you on to clean sand ,bluey and squid wraps was my bait

Had these cast after cast

Then total random had a good mackerl on a bait that size and a size 6.0 lol

been told this mark is very good for red cod in the kelp ,and a top pollock mark ,I must admit it looked very good for pollock ,and could kick myself for not bringing my lure rod and plastics .

Decided I wonted a change from doggies and got my self some rag worm and fished for wrasse ,holding the rod and feeling the bites was great fun ,casting into the thick kelp the bites came straight away ,nothing of any size but great fun ..

Really enjoyed that session ,there was a lad fishing with is grandad they where fishing the harbour ,he caught us very first sea fish ever ,and he was over the moon and came running over to show me ,took me back when I was a young boy could not wait show my parents the roach we caught out the canal happy days , seeing a kid catch a fish for the first time is very special ....

Great looking fish too especially the ones in the pan you cant get them any fresher than that Exclamation

good report and pics again tim looks like you had a good time up there and spent a bit of time with the family pity you have to go back to work but at leased you had time to chill out
