Stranraer 18/8/13

Just got back from a weeks holiday with the bin lids ,had a great time stayed at my brother house,who lives by my dad right by loch Ryan in kirkcom in Stranraer .. Didn't pack the rods just had quality time with the kids ,we had a very good time , took grandads dog, Beth down to the beach with us she played fetch for a good two hours and never got feed up once ,I swear you could have done this all day with her ..some pics this is the part of the loch known as the scar ,been told and read about it ,it's a very good bass mark ..





At the back of my bros house the field is full of rabbits , so one morning borrowed my dads 22 air riffle and got two for the pot ,didnt think the kids would like rabbit but they ate the lot ,there a lot of jet black rabbits round this area ,but didnt won't shot these as there quite cute lol, my girl friend loves her pet rabbits she has loads of them ,and wasn't keen when I told her a shot two lol ..

Took the kids swimming and this part of the loch is called lady bay ,I fished here last year in October and had pin whiting and coalie ,my brother had a friend stay here last year ,he doesn't do a lot of fishing but gave it a go and caught a doggie and a nice bass..


We did plenty crabbing ,how much fun is crabbing with young kids they love it ....



We saw plenty good size sand eel ,then all next minute there was splashing about fifty yards out ,as fish where feeding on them looked like bass but couldn't be sure..I know there no fishing involved in this report but its by the sea so I thought I would share my good time with you all , ps I will be back in action very soon

Well done Tim some smashing pictures as usual. We had a holiday up there 30years ago it is a lovely part of the country. They use to land Fling Boats on the loch in the war.
