Anybody know anything about the sea fishing around the North of Scotland ?
Got work near to wick in a few weeks but going to a job near Inverness tomorrow before i can start at wick where i should be untill christmas at least and then down to Dumfries with any luck !
Working a 7 day week 14hrs a day wont leave much time 4 fishing but theres bound to be the odd day where i have a brake down with the machine and im damed if im going to spend my time sitting in a caravan lol
Mind you there should be plenty of distilleries about drunken

Not fished that far up, recollection of driving round the entire coast years ago is that there are a lit of unfishable cliffs on the north coast, bait is hard to come by, you might have to improvise with supermarket fish,
They are big on the fly up there, ive just got back from a hotel on the banks of the other River Dee at Aberdeen, didnt have a rod with me but much talk of game fishing inthe bar.

If you are driving up try the sea lochs en route, see my isle of skye reports for something of the flavour, eilean donan area has some quick stop off deepwater cod marks to break your journey.

This time i flew up, landing at Aberdeen i noticed some interesting beaches just to the north of the river mouth, enjoy your trip, its a bloody long way however you get there!

Your right about it being a long way ive just left carlisle where i had to load the machine onto a low loader and im told its only another 6hrs up country Crying or Very sad
