PostSubject: Carsethorn SW Scotland    Thu Dec 22, 2016 9:52 pm

Finally finished for Christmas today but once again not wishing to join the motorway madness I stopped off for a session, this time at Carsethorn not far from Dumfries which was suggested to me by Paul and Dee, thanks guys thumbs up

This place is a gem for a lazy flatty hunter such as myself fishing
Its a deep channel at the mouth of the river Nith and a stones throw away from where the car was parked Very Happy

I only had frozen Lug for bait so I was expecting to be ravaged by the estuary crabs but luckily there were none about cheers

I fished for the first 3 hrs of the flood and had 3 Dabs which was quite a relief after my last few sessions up North Neutral

I was fishing next to the remains of an old pier which once took many Scots to America, Canada and Australia to escape the harsh life they had here  study

Its was bitterly cold on the water front but I was well wrapped up and quite sheltered from the winds that have been battering Scotland today and with my catch I was a happy logger indeed cheers

bye
