Had another go after early rays and huss last night, went to the
west of the island,no wind, little swell and nice and mild
Set up a couple of hours before low and started getting the odd
doggie and w/ting until an hour later had a thornie about 5lbs
It went quiet for a couple of hours over low then after dark and
with the tide picking up had another smaller ray
Almost to the hour had another small one.
Again it was w/ting and dogs for an hour then the ratchet starts going,
a decent fish on, a few good shakes of it's head then a decent huss
of 12lb-8 landed,a new p.b. for me by a 1lb and an oz, had a bit of a wrestle and ended up taking several pics before getting a couple i could use, if only they gave a good a fight in the water as they do out of it !!!.
Trying to chew my arm
Gave it another hour with nothing much else showing except a baby huss
Packed up after that, home for a microwaved sunday dinner
