Perking in Aberystwyth

No, not pirking.... perking ie making the most of a business trip to Aberystwyth; a stay at the Marine Hotel last night with a bedroom a road width cast from the high tide mark



I followed up a session in the hotel sauna and a feast in the restaurant with a cold couple of hours bait dangling over High.

Armed with a £4 pack of frozen lug ( a bit steeper than I am used to paying and I don't think I can claim it back on expenses -but at least I was offered a choice between South Wales Lug or North West England lug) I walked across the road and gave it a go from the railings.

Seems Aberystwyth is the only spot without whiting at the moment or maybe South Wales lug can't cut it -or perhaps I'm just rubbish at this lark!


I reckon I should have sourced some mackerel and tried round the corner off New Parade - still at least I didn't have a hangover this morning and I'm sure I'll get another opportunity ( I'll be consulting the tide height times before booking further business jollies! )
