With the forecasters spouting uncertainty for the weekend I joined Fairziff
on the beach for evening Low tonight.

As dusk fell a tiny whiting rode my pulley rig on to the sand but a phonecall from further up the beach suggested there might be something bigger about,

The wind strength was up and down and threatening rain

Dorothy's Big Brother eviction night on ice or something and for Mike it was time to go, though not before he'd spotted a water spout twisting it's way out towards the gas rig.

I stayed put as the flood picked up pace and full darkness fell.

Couldn't tell you whether it was a good bite or not -all I know is I instinctively reached for the rod and felt...

41 cm and in fine fettle,
quick pic and measure, held him in the shallows until he was ready and off he waltzed.
