Our club winter league kicked off last night at Llandudno, with a great turnout of 20 anglers. The little whiting and codling were a pain as usual so finding the odd in size fish was a matter of luck more than skill. 18 of the 20 managed to bring fish to the scales, 2 dogs a decent flounder and a few sea scorpions , dabs and rockling amongst the scattering of whiting that made the size limit. I managed to find 2 whiting and a sea scorpion to come in 11th place, not a great start but there`s 4 more matches in the league.
