Our first match of the year was a bit experimental, fishing low water here for the first time. It didn`t seem to make much difference, as the undersize whiting and codling were still coming out 2 or 3 at a time. Most of us found a few razorfish at low tide, and these attracted some better codling around the pound mark, but still not big enough to weigh in.
The bags were all a mixture of whiting , dabs and rockling, with the heaviest fish being a specimen dab of 0.46 kgs. ( 1-00-04 lbs) the best whiting was close behind at 0.45. 8 whiting, 3 dabs and a rockling was the winning bag at 2.43 kgs.
