Mini report from my brother out in The Fens
Pike still active in matches (too active) but the drain is fishing a bit strange since we had a fish kill a couple of month back, probably just our paranoia as he EA have surveyed it and say the fish are there in huge numbers but tightly shoaled (thanks to the pike and cormorants).
We held our Christmas match on Sunday at a local still water for a change of scenery. Had to break an inch of ice albeit I did engage the help of the local wildlife, turns out ducks are great at breaking up ice if you put some casters on top of it. Fishing was hard, very hard with only three fish caught in the whole match, fortunately I caught all three, for a total weight of .....5oz!
