Down at Splash Point on Saturday night, didn't get anything, Only fish caught were a couple of rockling (see Paul's' report). The reason I've
put this report on is to let people know there's patches of quicksand at low water. Mehmet, who probably knows Rhyl beach better than anybody sank up to his knees while crossing a gulley. It was fortunate that he was fishing with Phil and Danny, and they pulled him out. Just be careful if you're fishing alone.

Thought it might be you Tony.

Yes a really good point that, the smoother the surface looked the softer it was, the dog was covered in mud by the end of it.

The water was chocolatey with it which probably didn't help the fishing either

I now carry a home made throw line with a weight on the end in my tackle box, Mehmet was in fairly easy reach but if anybody got stuck further out the last thing you want to do is join them trying to help.
