| After raining all morning today this afternoon the sun came out so me and Cole headed to the canal but not to our normal places we were going more urban. We started off near the Etihad Stadium and we planned to end up in Ancoats marina. With in around 3 minutes of fishing Cole caught his first perch of the afternoon Then his second and so on Cole was hammering the perch while I was trying for a pike (trying being the word because I didn't bloody catch one) For the last hour or two we didn't catch anything but the water ways wasn't the best Once we got to Ancoats marina it was totally different because the water was clean and you could see the bottom but all we see was roach in there they must be a pike or two in there we'll be back to see if we can catch one. We had a great few hours

| Nice one you guys,I wouldn't chance it down there without a Kevlar vest Had a few casts on the marina near me,I've had a baitcasting reel for about 3 yrs that I hadn't tried. Watched vids on how to set the reel and the magnetic centrifugal drag,Had a few casts with a jelly minnow on, Couldn't get the hang of it.After a few casts and birds nest I gave up on it. I think I will just use the reel for dropping down off the side of the boat |

| Looking at Cole's hoodie I think he might have hand painted the graffiti!
Clearly a dab hand on the Perch too! |
