59 anglers turned out last night, including a who`s who of the Penn league, with 3 previous champions, and the current leader Ged Stevens from Barrow, who won the match with a 28 lb bag of mostly dogs. Some decent fish turned up amongst the dogs, including a five and a quarter pound thornback, some nice huss, 2 five pounders one over six and the heaviest fish , a seven pound one ounce huss for junior angler Tomos Roberts from Anglesey.
The event attracted some top anglers from as far as Torquay, Grimsby, and the Isle of Man, as well as Holyhead and the local area.
