Popping the Cork at Holyhead

Plan A was to do some housework then launch the boat from Prestatyn but the combination of wind speed and direction didn't look comfortable.

Plan B was stuff the housework and make for Holyhead!



Fishing dog Jake has a growing following and was recognised by Sunny Rhyl follower Simon and the boys



He's enjoying celebrity status! We enjoyed meeting you guys too!



Having added a couple of UglyStik spinning rods to our stable I'd been looking forward to giving them a work out on the boat but never mind, playing drop down the wall with half a shrimp rig each tipped with thumbnail size bits of Ragworm would do.  



A bass rod was also  baited similarly with a full string of shrimp lures and flicked out at modest distance and given the occasional chuck for a Mackerel.



All the action was down the wall

























With the sun shining and the bites coming thick and fast it was a brilliant day for chilling!










If I had one wish for the day it was to show Tina how beautiful male Corkwing are






Mission accomplished and for once I caught more fish than Tina!



A cracking day to cherish, Ballan and Corkwing, a look back at the Sun setting across Puffin Island and Penmon and onward to home to pull out a different kind of cork



( still haven't done the housework!)
