Joined Up Whiting

Took the dog for a walk ( ie a low tide recce of the closest gulley)
at the back of Asda Kinmel Bay, took note of where the snags and deeper spots where, chose a marker for later and paced out the distance to what looked like a sweet spot.

We returned 90 minutes before High and in came a double header on my first cast



The rigs were double flappers with size 2 hooks but some of the chunkier Whiting needed bigger and after we each had a huge pull down that didn't connect we swopped the lower hooks for 2/0s offering a choice between half a fresh worm and a chunkier bait of worm/ squid/ Sandeel



The Whiting came through every few minutes in shoals with both rods usually busy at the same time, not sure how many we had but well into the teens

And then as the ebb got under way the bites came to a full stop.
