Whiting bonanza

Our club match over low water at Tan-lan Old Colwyn last night found us in the biggest shoal of whiting we`ve ever seen. The average size was 30 cms or there-abouts up to 35, The winner had 28 in-size and a doggie, pushing me out to second with 30 in-size. I must have had about 15 just under size as well, they were on the baits as soon as they hit the bottom, nothing else could get a look in.
Only 2 dogs weighed in and no flatties, but the netters emptying their nets as we were fishing had over 30 bass.

well done you might have had a bass to weigh in if it wasn't for the netters just as well we only keep a few whiting for the table and put the rest back to grow on
