Rhyl Air Show 2015





Felt quite emotional to watch the last flight of the Vulcan yesterday, quite a moment for Rhyl though and we've got the Red Arrows today!

I took up a watch post to see the Vulcan, as it circled upwards the rumble of the mighty beast set off a few car alarms near me, the Vulcan is quite a sight to see, we are lucky here in Rhyl.

Nice pictures Paul we had the Vulcan at Cosford by use a few weeks ago a great site.

Have seen it several times at various airshows. Its a shame theyve never opened it up and shown what it really can do at Rhyl.

Will be missed.

Day Two of the Rhyl 2015 Air Show

With parking at a premium I parked at Garford Road Car Park, this car park is free but it has flood gates and is often closed when the tides threaten but it's worth finding if you fancy fishing East of Splash Point,
although if you plan to fish Low straight out from the car park there are areas of mud to be wary of, further East towards the pipe is sandier

LL18 3UF is the post code for Garford Road ( perhaps not one to use at night though)

With a couple of hours to go before the flying started I tackled up a Bass rod halfway between Splash and the unused slipway for a few casts

A moment of tip rattling excitement turned out to be a bush, away went the rod and I headed off for the show, terrific to see thousands of people in town, many walking the prom from Prestatyn, every year the shows gets bigger and bigger and the organization of it gets more and more sophisticated and impressive

Many of the planes were on also display the day before but today's highlight was the Red Arrows and a bonus chopper landing on the beach to collect The 'Arrows Red 10 at the end
