| Kirkys Dad & me self are hoping to be at shell island sometime on Friday afternoon. Where will be the best place to pitch up ? I started thinking of a list of camping/fishing kit we might need & now think Kirky Dad will need a bigger car |

We need to gather together, I suggest we need to be much nearer the main toilet and shower block this time and not near the small harbour And not at the bottom of a hill again, woke up with 4 inch of water in the tent last time ! It's likely to be about 7pm when we get there, we'll need to swap phone numbers so we can find each other but I will be in a white BMW X3 |

Dave has got my mobile number, he's welcome to pass it on to you. Like I said earlier we are planning on being at there mid afternoon & don't want to pitch miles from everyone else. Do you know if there is a site map of shell island ? |

| www.shellisland.co.uk/assets/files/map.pdf Try clicking on the link or copy and paste it. Its quite a good map of the campsite giving info on toilets, water taps, beaches etc. |

| The closer you are to the main block, the busier and noisier it is! Just saying like... Handy for the pub though. |

| I can't see anything on the website about certain fields for dogs,
Does it say anything anywhere?
Not suggesting we camp right by the main block but nearer to it. Also looked closer to the Bass beach if we go to the Western side isn't it?
Her Royal Highness won't come if we camp where we were last year I can tell you! |

Just joined those already there last year Tim, first time at Shell. It looks like you will be there first this time so will leave it to you. We will have the dog with us as I guess will Logger. |

| Think I was the first to arrive last year.. My first time also. Followed Tims advice about where he normally went, through the gate and off to the right towards the harbour. I remember thinking about a spot large enough for the group... Hence where we ended up. Tap at the back of us.. Toilets within spitting distance.. Shielded by the hedge at the back of us.. And down hill from any sea breeze. Suited me.. I couldn't predict the Friday night downpour though!! |
