An Easterly wind greeted myself and The Maestro on arrival at Splash Point.

The local proverb will tell you that you are wasting your time from the shore in such conditions.

Used to blanking with the wind blowing from every direction, it mattered not.
Expectations were as low as usual on the fish front, but a glimse of a Sunny Rhyl sunset was my goal tonight.

A change of tactics from me mean't that my usual 3 hook flapper was replaced by a 2 hook Flatty trace.
Boomed and with some beads and a Hokkai, 4oz was holding it all out there.
Fresh Lug was the bait as usual.

2 hours passed without a hint of a knock.

It was at this point that I got a bit 'Arty' and composed a piece entitled 'Freedom Scissors'

Another hour passed and I was drinking at the Last Cast Saloon.

Luckily for me, my cup was half full.

Mehmet's however, was half empty.

Operation Sunset was achieved and the fish were just a surprising bonus

not sure if i should post this but asda are doing a cool bag just the right size for bait and they are only £2.50 if you want one better get there before mike buys the lot , nice report and pics .
