Metal detector

I had a bit of fun with the detector the other day down on the beach. Apart from finding a musket ball, a 22 bullet case, and a hand forged nail, and a load of fishing leads. No gold or silver unfortunatley. Does anubody else on the site go out with one?

Thanks for the info Tony. All the areas that you have mentioned are quite close to me, so I will be giving them ago. I only have a cheap detector, but it will do for now. I found a lot of metal on the beaches at Llandulas. I would love to go into the areas around Ruddlan castle, but I am sure you wouldn't be allowed. If I have any luck I'll post it on here. Ian if you fancy going out sometime drop me a pm.
