Rhyl Saturday Night: The One and Only

Headed for Splash Point tonight just about Low with high hopes and aspirations,
a decent tide and a stiff wind had arrived from the West and the surf was up.

Cast out fresh lug and occasionally added squid tips in different shapes and sizes

Three hours after Low and we'd retreated across two gulleys to the green triangles, the weed was unbearable and we abandoned it, but on the first of the flood
the one and only Maestro had caught the only fish of the night -his first fish of 2009

Shame about the weed.
I'm itching to get out. With the wind continuing, tomorrow could be good.

I'm going to try very hard to sleep through the c.5am Low, get some DIY done later and resist the temptation, it's a tough call though
When it comes to fishing Rhyl beach there's no where else I'd rather be.

The air temperature has climbed a good bit, though the windchill factor has moved up a gear as well.
