Fished Hortons Nose yesterday in the run up to High, caught nothing but saw what looked like an undersize Bass ( or a good Whiting) safely returned 100 yards further round the beach towards Kinmel Bay.

With bait left returned today and tried a spot a bit closer to the harbour channel where the incoming tide was arguing with the channel over right of way.

Surely I thought the turmoil in the water would stir up something more interesting than cable cars of weed.

You know when you are getting cold and you've had enough when a bloomin giraffe lies down by your tripod,

You should have taken it home, painted it up and dug it into the garden looking over something, like the house or garage.

Great idea. What do you think Notbad?

I have a woodburning stove so would be filching driftwood for heating if I lived closer.

there are several trunks along Horton's nose at intervals that I think have been placed there as natural benches ( though trees do wash down the river) so I wouldn't stick my neck out (see what I did there)
reminds me of a tent I nearly bought for a laugh, giraffe patterned and with a long neck sticking up, not practical but looked hilarious.
