| Interesting that they go for sweetcorn when they've probably never seen it before.
Sweetcorn salad for your lunch box every day from now on!
Midges are no fun though. |

| Seriously I thought by now you would have sold exclusive rights to the fishery to as many suckers as you could find on line. |

| Well done there, I wonder what else lives in there. Allways exciting exploring a new spot. Is there any sign that it is fished by others, |

| As far as my pal knows it's not fished by anyone and there's certainly no sign of anyone having been there plus you need a forestry padlock key to get anywhere near it or it's a hell of a walk |

| There are very few places like that these days with google earth, in my far off youth, I would bike miles mostly uphill just to catch tiny rudd in a pond at Rhosesmor. From memory, there aren't that many people living around Clocaenog. Is it a natural pond, or man made, any streams in and out? |

| It's not in Cloc it's in Snowdonia (I moved to another job). Part of it is certainly man made as it has a small dam at one end which is connected with some nearby mine workings which were abandoned over a century ago, there's also a depth marker which shows the level is 19 meters so it's quite deep. I shall explore the depths for fish another day |

| Brilliant, Sounds like "fly" artificial bread, artificial sweetcorn or bloodwirm flues would work and no storage issues on a coarse rod set up or proper flyfishing if there is casting room. |

Seems a shame not to use the opportunity to fish it. Thought of trying bread paste made with egg/milk or water? A couple of cheap Aldi white loaves for groundbait made into balls with milk/egg etc. If you wrap the groundait ball around a stone,it will go down deeper and quicker. I wonder what is down in those mysterious depths, |

| Have you tried worms, we have a small sand dune lake I used to fish when I was working on a farm (sawmilling), it was stocked with golden orfe very similar to rudd, best bait were some small bullies 2 inches at most caught in a net around the edge. They may not be there now, our Department of conservation kills off "noxious fish". Of course trout and salmon though introduced as well but a long time before, because they make heaps of money are allowed to stay. |

| Lovely colours on those fish by the way, like the colour they were when I was a kid, not like the pellet fed ones in commercial ponds now.
I reckon you have literally found a gene pool there! |
