Herring

Do we have a herring season in Rhyl?
I've never seen herring being discussed on here.
What bait and method would you use and hook size?

We caught a shed load in May using mackerel feathers mate

Sounds like they are in just before the Mackerel.
From what I can gather,the plaice are in first,is that right?
I'm getting out there next season,even if they have to put me in the boat with a forklift

Press ganged,haha,I doubt it

Handy to know about the small hooks and stealth tactics (any books on "How to con a herring"?)
