Never taken much notice of when they start to come in.
Just made some lightweight rigs for Herring.
When can we expect them, anybody know?
I used 15b polycarbon clear line, small hooks, and coloured shrink tube to make the rigs.( 5 on a string)

I think my shore fishing days might be over, unless when I have a gall stone removed it will help me to get back to moving around better.
I will be able to fish from my boat though if I use the launch and retrieve
at Rhyl Harbour or Ronnies on the straits.
When I fished the competition at the Holyhead breakwater, I nearly threw myself in when I was casting a couple of times. lol!

The local boats have been picking a few up amongst the mackerel for a few weeks, there are some showing in Holyhead harbour but the bigger shoals are usually on the inside of the breakwater from around November to February.
