Pensarn - Station to Station!

Time - Day
Bait - Fresh Lug, Frozen Mackerel
Date - 22nd September 2009

I've only fished Pensarn twice before. With mixed results on each occasion, it was a case of setting up and hoping.

With 2 rods out. Fresh Lug tipped with mackerel on a Wormy Special and half lug and Mackerel strips on a 3 hook flapper.
4oz was just about enough to hold in what was a lively surf and strong tide flow.

With a fish from your car experience on offer, it was a nice and relaxed little session.

No noticeable bites on either setup until about 1hr after high when a little knock on the Pennel Rig led to a Schoolie. Measured at 40cm.

It was Pennel 1 Flapper 0 at the end.

Having not had a bass from splash point this year my mission is to catch a codling from there before christmas.......if not otterspool only 5 minutes from home Wink
