| About time I did a report on my fishing at Bangor in October  This is the spot about half tide  I had one bite out the front before the water chased me to the wall where I caught this lovely little bass  I missed one other just before the bass, possibly the same one.  The old brick work was the original bath house buildings, and the newer nissan huts from the war. the leaning wall was like this in 2009 from a google earth photo.  I have a feeling that this mussel dredging operation may be responsible for the layer of mud all along the foreshore, 50 years ago it was all hard sand with small lugworm inches apart, I was going to dig these for bait, but a reconaisance trip the day before, I could not find one, so dug some ragworm on Anglesea instead. The walk out there is now hard work, but there is a well used track through the woods from the first bit of broken wall right to the end of the jetty, and returning before 2 hours after high from the break in the wall 100m of slippery cobble stones. Still an interesting fishy spot. |
