I took a trip with Norman yesterday for a mini species hunt , to a venue that neither of us had tried before, Holyhead fish dock.

We weren`t sure what to expect, so we had one rod each cast out in the channel and one each with small hooks and bits of ragworm straight down the wall.

By the end of the session we had 11 species between us, including this little butterfish for Norman, his first for 30 years so he said, then followed it with another one, but I couldn`t find one.

the catch list was, dogfish, shanny, tompot blenny, ballan wrasse, corkwing wrasse, goldsinney wrasse, rock goby, whiting, butterfish, sea scorpion, and hordes of the littlest poor cod you`ve ever seen.
