Had a cr*p week on night's this week with the weather. (and just night's anyhow) the biggest sleep has been four and a half hour's.
so thursday got in bed at 14.50 (early start thursday) i woke at 07.30 so thought sod it up and got me car packed only bait i had was crab a packet of s/eel and a box of squid.
and headed down the island in the dry. got as far as st asaph and the heaven's opened all the way to llangefni then it cleared up by i got to ravens set up (took me brolly just in case) was there just on high first cast some fresh bait.
had a further 2 casts and ended up with 14 in all (all caught at distance) the biggest was this.
first one i cut up in to small bit and baited the feather rig and drew it slowly back along the bottom getting little taps all the way pulled it in and had 4 gurnards and a small dab.
ended up with about 10 gurnards in the end. when the run started i opted for to bait's on the bottom both with fresh maccie on 4/0 pulley rigs.
first bite and i pulled in felt like a good fish which turned out to be this.
it had 2 dead dogs in it and 8 weight's plus about 20 swivels.
then the dogs came on big time.
got fed up with them so i got a few maccie and put the big rod's down and played down the side for last hour had 2 good ballan (pic's cr*p) and a scorpion fish.
then that was it fillited all the maccie and put them in bucket of salt water and drove the spar in valley were i got a bag of ice (had some strange looks in the car park changing the water for ice) got home nice and early. and all the pensioners by me had a free tea.
happy as larry.
