Well after a few weeks off the fishing (trying to get the boat ready) Me Andy and Rob decided we would have a go at the plaice at Morecambe so after a 90min drive we had a 20min walk to the waters edge,we arrived about two hours before low and soon had our Welsh lugworm cast into the channel It was a slow start with seaspirit Rob catching the only fish of the ebb with this
Morecambe 01513
A flounder, not what we were after but very welcome at this point,we waited some more

then Rob had another fish
Morecambe 09511
only small but it was what we were after then he had another
Morecambe 11111
It was turning into a one man show, the RNLI provided us with something to chat about

Then Andy noticed a tap on his rod to later bring this fish in a plaice of 40cm
Morecambe 10811
and shortly followed by another
Morecambe 11311
I fished inbetween them both and didnt get a bite Sad (clowns to the left of me jokers to the right) anyway Rob ended up with 3 plaice and 2 flounder and Andy had 2 plaice before the long walk back to the car

All in all it was a good morning out and we will be back for some more plaice once they fatten up a bit, inbetween fishing i will keep playing with the boat as its about 90% finished and after about 15 years out of the water it floats well

Frustrating with catches either side of you!

Great to see how the boat is shaping
