2 old men with wind !

Me and sea junky did Llandudno pier again on Friday night. It was as windy as a windy thing !

Fished from an hour or so after high for about 5 hours. Baits were salted mack, frozen lug, sand eel and some top secret prawns of mine.

The fish were around, we caught whiting, doggies and (pout or poor cod?).

I used one rod on the bottom and set up a float rod, the float rod did ok with a few decent sized whiting being reeled in.

Due to the rain coming at me horizontally for most of the time I only took a couple of photo's

What a great title 10 out of 10 for that. The reason we left was that about anhour before low water the fishing dropped away to nothing, coupled to the wind and rain we had had enough. Some of the whitting where a nice size, we tried to return them alive but you know how it is. Good fun a few fish, and a good laugh, what else could you want.

oh, and I forgot to say that I out fished steve again !

i couldnt remember if that was the poor cod or the pout that did that, but thanks !

Sounds like the pier elf n safety has chilled a bit, didn't they used to close it at 16mph windspeeds?

I think the security guy said 29mph.
