Not entirely sure, looking at Denbighshire's website I'm seeing an artist's impression of a wider prom with rocks at the base of a new sea wall on the eastern side of the middle - extending to Splash, not as big a rock barrier as at Splash Itself though, with a different access ramp and stepped wall extending Westward from the mid point

Perhaps they will heighten the prom when they widen it,not a lot of use leaving it at the present height.
