Cheshire Oaks Fisheries Visit Number 6

With the fishery closed ( for an open match - if that makes sense) on Wednesday and the temperatures forecast to drop this week I reckoned I'd better get myself over there today.

A change of feeder this week, a Preston Innovations ICS system set up with the maggot feeder



I was a bit puzzled by it but the fishery's Ian explained I needed the quick fasten bead part as well and the onsite shop had them.



First cast a knock I didn't connect with.
2nd cast a fish,
3rd cast a fish, things were looking promising!



I finished up on a dozen, all much the same size. Numbers wise my best day there but not the best average weight.

3 others fished today, fellah two pegs to my right using pellets on a feeder had knocks but caught nothing.
Chap on the pole over the other side had 3 fish and another
on the pole didn't even get a bite despite " bagging up" on that peg yesterday.

A bit more practice and I might just consider entering those matches!

Well done on the good session going to get even colder that will stop the fish feeding altogether so wise to get out early. Lovely picture.
