After weighing up the differences between weather forecasts I opted to head for Cheshire Oaks Fisheries again but timing it to arrive behind the showers forecast for first thing
This time I decided to fish the north side of this U-shaped water for a change.
This year every peg has had fishing holding cut outs to both left and right, some of my best fish of the day came from here, the carp are quite feisty at the moment and it is explosive stuff when they take at this close range. I caught at all distances all day long, and all but one on two or three red maggot, then at the end I put sweetcorn direct on the hook just to finish off
All pegs have now also had the muddy bit between path and peg excavated and surfacing with hardcore is half complete.
The carp have spread throughout, many were actively topping and regularly swimming past my peg, one inspected the tip of my feeder rod and looked me in the eye!
Lost track of how many fish but must have been 40 plus, I need to get a clicker counter.
These are probably the biggest three, but half the fish were about this size anyway
