| Sorry I have been a bit quiet, I have been out, but either forgot the camera or forgot to take pics. This from 2 weeks ago, Sorry about the throat cutting, but deep hooked and destined for the smoker, the largest about 2.5 kg also another 3 Kahawai returned. One snapper also caught, about 35 cm destined for Judy's tea. (I don't eat fish). Another larger snapper fell of at the rock side. There have been plenty of big kahawai around but getting thin after spawning. In January that large one would have been over 3 kg. When the fish are biting there is no time to get the camera. This is the best time of year, but only 2 of us there all morning. |

| Great stuff Rhod.
Are you fully recovered from your injury?
What is the temperature like there during the day now? Starting to get a bit chilly?? |

| Thanks Musselman, My ankle and Achilles is still tight first thing and after sitting for a while, and I do not have the range of movements the other one does, but I can walk 5 or 6 km and stand around fishing for 4 or so hours before it hurts a bit. I can potter around in the garden all day, so not doing too badly for a nearly 76 year old. One problem is casting as my ankle does not turn as much as it should, but all improving slowly. Autumn is starting to be felt, 19C today and about 10 tonight, last week we had highs of mid 20's with an ex tropical low pressure and an ex cyclone the week before that. |
