Decent Bait Empty
PostSubject: Decent Bait    Decent Bait EmptySun Apr 17, 2022 11:08 am

Hi all, Can anyone recommend a decent bait shop or digger to buy black lug from, around Rhyl or Prestatyn area. I bought some yesterday supposedly fresh when It had obviously been frozen, from a local shop. If fresh lug isn’t available what is your next go to bait.

Cheers

Sorry I've no current numbers for a digger.

Buy your own pump might be one answer, but can't say I have grasped the knack myself, I'd at least want a pack from a shop to start me off whilst I had a go at getting some of my own on a suitable tide.

For Rhyl I'd rather have fresh lug on the hook too.
Frozen if not fresh peeler crab could be well worth tracking down though.

Did you catch?

No I didn’t, neither did the two guy who where in the tackle shop with me!! Did a little research on the internet and blurts seem to be a popular bait. I’ve got a bait pump but I’m pretty pathetic at bait gathering.

Ones that I know of. I am sure there are others. Baits and weights I think is primarily a digger and maybe a bit cheaper if you just want lug.

In no preference order ...

Have you tried oiled and vacuum packed black lug?
I've had a couple of packs for about a year that I havent tried yet.
They still look nice and plump.
I got them online.
