The Pipes were calling Empty
PostSubject: The Pipes were calling   The Pipes were calling EmptyWed Jul 14, 2021 10:10 pm

Me and the Mrs at West Pensarn between the pipes today for afternoon High.

23 degrees, bright sun.

Onshore breeze brought painful amounts of weed with the flood.

Gave up with the close in rod and simplified the distance rig to cast over it ( nearly gave up altogether)

No fish. Several others fishing West Pensarn if they caught anything I didn't notice it.

Good stuff. No better fishing than we had last week though.

Any sign of one of those EU supertrawlers? Someone/something appears to have hoovered up all the fish.

Not a vessel in site. Generally not much bird life either apart from the gulls briefly settling on the water to the East,
I'm going with the "too bright" excuse!

About time I fished a twilight shift again!

It was great, should just have taken the chairs and left the rest behind!
