Wigan Brook Empty
PostSubject: Wigan Brook   Wigan Brook EmptyTue Apr 23, 2019 11:00 am

Had 20 minutes in a local brook, water was crystal clear until I got to where I wanted to fish. Its was like a swamp but I have a go anyway. Most section are literally water flowing over exposed stones with a few pools.
I used lobworm out of the garden and got a nice Chub on first cast, Brown trout on Second, Chub on 3rd but it was flying round and messed up my swim.

Called it a day, was good to be out in the sun. No sea fishing as littlun got a bit sun burned in Rhosneigr on friday and didn't want to risk 1.more sun 2. Whinging about sun burn.
Not one mention of his sunburn so just pink not burned, he did whinge about something else so we ended up with some new chickens...bit of graft putting fencing up etc but it was all reclaimed and free! I like free.

Nice trout, those local streams are full of surprises. The Chub take off like torpedoes.

I used to take a couple of bottles of Lacto Calamine for sunburn for the family,it works better than any sun tan stuff.Instant relief.
The 'Lacto' is lactic acid, and part of your skin makeup.
