Llandudno pier 15/10/09

nothing to do for the day so me and a friend decided to go fishing for a few hours. took the easy option of the pier. got there just after 1 and fished for 4 hours. only had lug and mackerel. plenty of fish down the side, mostly poor cod ranging from 2-4 inches long. i managed to avoid them occaisonally and had 2 pollock and a coalie to add to my species list for the year. the bigger rods at distance (or 10-20 yds away) produced dabs, codling and a dogfish. surprisingly no whiting which seem to be everywhere else at the moment. unfortunately my phone is playing up so no pictures (and it deleted the 300+ i already had on it for some reason) if we can were thinking of giving somewhere in treardur bay a go tomorrow

i'm up to 32 i think? mackerel, dab, whiting, t/g/r/gurnard, lsd, huss, b/bream, plaice, flounder, herring, sandeel, bass, tope, s/c smoothound, thornie, cod, pollock, coalie, pout, poor cod, ballan, corkwing, dragonette, sea scorpion, 3/5 bearded rockling, silver eel, (rainbow trout if i'm allowed to count that?)

still over 2 months fishing time left this year although i think i'm limited to a lucky conger or something now
